Ranger’s, a young lawyer’s vision
At mids of the 70’s Roberto Santana was working on a lawyer’s office that provided services for companies that assembled big pieces for brands such as Motorola or Kodak. The major part of those companies were from electronics sector, except one, Palan, that belonged to the fashion industry for who Santana processed exportation’s paperwork.
Meanwhile, his wife Eva Muñoz, a great creative, was dedicated to stitch clothing for third parties. As the family and the business kept growing, decided to create their own small tailor shop in the space they used to have the hen.
In 1982, thinking about his family future, Santana decides to register its own brand under the name of Ranger’s and started to produce and distribute their own shirts, despite they continued producing clothing for others.
In 1984, two shops operated in Tecolotlan (State of Jalisco) the same village that saw their birth, Santana is designated vice president of Jalisco’s Garment Industry House, receiving the order to organize the first event on this sector (Intermoda) and, in the same show, a customer for the US placed his first order, starting this way his exports. The same year also decided quitting from working for third parties to entirely dedicate producing his own brand.
In 2003, they moved to a 960 m2 factory in the same city of Tecolotlan, place where still keep working. Nowadays, Ranger’s exports western and charro shirts to more than 15 countries, with an export production quote of more than 60%.
Eva Muñoz, Ranger’s soul
During the more of 35 years of history, Ranger’s stand out for offering exceptional design shirts by expertly mixing the traditional western design with the Mexican style. Thanks to that, is why Jalisco obtained to be on the top of such a competitive market. The responsible of this success is Eva Muñoz, brand’s founder wife, a woman in love with the art and design.
Since 1986, Mrs. Muñoz designs the shapes, decides the textures and creates the complex figures that are embroidered with diverse fabrics like cotton or velvet, getting inspired by the nature and baroque decorations. This is the way that brand’s identity shaped up.
Each shirt and embroidery is elaborated with the most absolute mastery and the aim of getting a maximum quality product. We can find embroideries with one thousand stitches up to 250 thousand. The quality is so high that Ranger’s is imitated around the world by its competitors.
Ranger’s, synonymous of quality and style
A sign of Ranger’s shirts quality can be found in the production process. For example, in the design stage. Because of the many different designs that carry, completing a designing process can take from a few days to several weeks. Creation of a shirt is not something that Ranger’s take lightly.
About the raw materials, Jalisco’s brand also is very conscious. Ranger’s promotes a socially responsible company policy, so the raw materials are from first quality internal market. Like the cotton that uses, grown in Mexico with an environmental compromise.

It is also remarkable the continued innovation effort. Not only on a technological level. Every year Ranger’s incorporates up to fifteen brand new design shirts. One of its latest adding is Rafael Amaya collection, created together with the famous actor, leading actor in the acclaimed TV series “The Lord of the Skies” and one of the most influential stars in Mexico.
