We won’t realize and summer will be here. This means that nice weather is comming together with the warm summer nights and the typical yearly musical events. But you already know that at Corbeto’s Boots we aren’t big fans of the traditional musical events. Our passion is the country music so, if we talk about musical events for this summer, will do about country and line dance festivals. At least, that we have the chance to show our best attire in any of the many meetings, workshops and country festivals that we can enjoy in Spain but also when on holidays abroad.
As we told, there are many but these are the ones that we specially like:
CMA Fest
We start our tour with one of the most emblematic festivals around the world, the CMA Fest in Nashville that reaches its 48th edition. Started in 1972 gathering 5000 country music fans at Nashville’s Municipal Auditorium , is nowadays considered one of the most important country music festivals with tens of thousands of fans comming from more than 36 countries.
Las year’s edition counted with more than 350 concerts distributed in 11 stages. This year’s one, will take place from june 6th to 9th featuring stars such as A Thousand Horses, Ashley McBryde, Brothers Osborne, Cody Johnson, Dillon Carmichael, Eli Young Band, Hannah Dasher, House Whiskey, James Barker Band, Keith Urban, Kiefer Sutherland, Little Big Town and some hundreds more.
Voghera Country Festival
We continue our itinerary around the best country music festivals with a very special one that takes place in Italy, our neighbouring country. It takes place on june 21st, 22nd and 23rd at Voghera, not far from Milan.
This is its 12th edition, and is one of most renowned at boot’ shape peninsula. In this edition Gord Bamford, Dusty Road Country Band, Riccardo Cagni, Marty Rivers, Dobro Country Rock Band, Ally Joyce, Danny McMahon, Linda Lou Country & Southern Rock Music, Country Chickens Bluegrass Band and many more will be participating with their music and songs.
Huercasa Country Festival
Huercasa Country Festival will take place on july 5th, 6th and 7th at Riaza (Segovia). For that reason it is also known as “Festival Country de Riaza”. Absolutely unique in Spain, is a chance to enjoy great national an international country music artists, in a family atmosphere. With barbeques and activities even for the youngest in the household.
This year’s lineup includes artists such as Hayes Carll, Quique González, Will Hoge, The Long Riders, Chuck Mead & The Grassy Knoll Boys, Ashley Campbell, HCF All-Stars Band, Badlands and Conjunto San Antonio.
SummerTyne Americana Festival
Some of the most important country music festivals take place beyond our frontiers and are a great oportunity to give a turn around to our holidays. Of course, if you are country music fan, can’t miss SummerTyne Americana Festival that takes place on july 19th, 20th and 21st, like every year, at Tyne’s river south side in Sage Gateshead (UK).
Is a macro-festival where everything turns around country and americana music and attracts visitors from all around the world in a very special weekend. Among this year’ stars we’ll find Long Ryders, Roosvelt Collier, Alvin Youngblood Hart’s Muscle Theory, The Local Honeys, Rachel Harrington, Strictly Country, The Wandering, Cowboys Junkies and many more.
Festival Piknik Country
If you are thinking about travelling to Poland for holidays, you can’t miss Piknik Country Festival, that this year takes place between july 27th and 29th at Czos lake amphitheater in Mragowo.
At its 38th edition this great festival that completely transforms the little town of Mragowo lenghtens one more day its duration, invaded by thousands of visitors, country music and motorcycles passionated.
In this 38th Piknik Country Folk Festival we can enjoy in the scenery an interesting mix of local and international stars that is still pending to be confirmed.
6.0 Salardú Country-Rock Festival
In august we come back to Spain for the sixth edition of Salardú Country-Rock Festival, one of the festivals we like the most. Surrounded by nature, this year takes place on august from 22nd to 25th, four days full of country music.
Despite this year’s program is not yet available, we can confirm the presence of artists such as The Washboard Union, Darryl Worley, las Nice Horse, las Farewell Angelina, Didier Beaumont, Backwest and Fabio Canu.
Might be complicated, but the true is that you can spend the whole summer going from one festival to another, enjoying country music.
